Dave Mcdonald
Dave McDonald holds a B.S. in Public Administration from the University Of Rio Grande and an A.A.S. in Emergency Medical Management from Hocking College. He has been employed with SEOEMS since 1996. During his tenure he has worked as a paramedic, interim station chief and continuing education coordinator.
DutiesThe Field Operations Director is responsible for oversight of all frontline delivery of emergency medical services. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Field Operations Director implements operational policy, ensures the medical protocols are utilized appropriately by SEOEMS EMTs and Paramedics, and supervises the station chiefs.
The field Operations Director keeps abreast of new laws and administrative rules that affect the delivery of EMS, is instrumental in recommending policy and procedures, and ensures fair and consistent application of work rules and disciplinary procedures.
Further the Field Operations Director is responsible for medical equipment, ambulance purchasing and medical supply delivery through his direction of the Logistics Officer. He also oversees the Training Coordinator and SEOEMS initial and continuing education programs.
