Background
Micah McCathren recently joined the SEOEMS organization in July 2009 serving
as Fiscal Officer. Prior to joining SEOEMS, Micah held professional
positions in both the public and private sectors working in the fields of
accounting, auditing, finance, IT and consulting and also holds a Bachelors
degree in Accounting. Bringing a diversified set of professional and
educational skills to SEOEMS will allow Micah to focus on maintaining a
solid financial structure that will support the lasting success of SEOEMS
District and will provide many benefits to employees, customers and
vendors.
Duties
The Fiscal Officer is responsible for successfully managing the accounting,
auditing, banking, budgeting, and tax operations for the SEOEMS District.
The Fiscal Officer also handles all financial matters for the District and
is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and financial
statements for the $8 million annual operations. This position reports to
the SEOEMS Board of Directors.
