Acting Human Resources Director
Background
Robin Bledsoe was recently appointed as the Acting Human Resources Director. Robin holds a Masters of Business Degree from Ohio University’s School of Business. She was previously employed as Labor Relations Officer and Human Resources Director for an agency of the State of Ohio. Formerly a SEOEMS employee, Robin was a CMED (dispatcher) and was also a paramedic for the agency. Her 18 years of experience in the Human Resources profession and her EMS background make her a good fit for the Acting Human Resources Director position.
Robin has experience in Human Resources Management, Resource Planning, civil service laws, rules and procedures, collective bargaining, grievances and arbitration, investigations, supervisory principles and techniques, EEO regulations, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, and pre-disciplinary hearing procedures.
Duties
The Human Resources Director manages all personnel functions including employee benefits and labor relations. Employee benefits involve health insurance, leave, worker's compensation, employee assistance program, employee wages and unemployment. She also is responsible for compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, as well as grievances and pre-disciplinary hearings. The Human Resources Director directly supervises the Field Operations Supervisor, Communications Supervisor, AP, AR and the receptionist.
