The SEOEMS District Training Department believes that it takes a combination of three things to form a superb EMS service, good people, good policy, and good training. With that being said, the SEOEMS District Training Department is composed of a core group of instructors at the Headquarters Office who are assisted by more than 40 specialty instructors throughout the district that are certified by various agencies. The SEOEMS Training Center holds multiple accreditations for an assortment of programs ranging from all levels of emergency medical technician training to a variety of professional continuing education programs for healthcare providers. In addition, the Training Center provides many public education programs to communities, business, and industry throughout Southeast Ohio. The Training Department also maintains continuing education files on all SEOEMS employees in an effort to assist them with state and national recertification.
